Apostille and Legalisation
In order for some documents to be recognised and used abroad they will have to be 'legalised' by the UK Government Legalisation Office to confirm that the signature, stamp and seal of the Notary Public are authentic. The Legalisation Office will attach a stamped official certificate to your document, an 'apostille'.
In addition, some foreign countries require that documents are also legalised by their respective embassy.
